Matchning: Ocean Depths och klänning.

I helgen så gifte sig en kompis till min kille så vi fick gå på ett urvackert bröllop. Nagelnörd som jag är kliade jag mig givetvis i huvudet ganska länge över vilket lack jag skulle ha till denna festliga stund. Valet föll slutligen på det nyinköpta Ocean Depths från Gina Tricot för att det matchade min klänning allra bäst. Jag har inte fått speciellt bra bilder på det här lacket än, så närmare presentation får komma en annan gång.

Jag tycker om att matcha eller i alla fall ha någon tanke bakom mina lack vid lite mer speciella tillfällen eller vid resor. På Åre-resan vi gjorde i vintras matchade exempelvis lacket med skidorna (inte för att någon såg det då jag hade vantar på mig), och jag älskar att missmatcha lila naglar mot röda läppar när jag går ut.

Hur brukar ni resonera runt kläder, smink och naglar? Behöver de funka tillsammans?

A friend of my boyfriend got married this weekend and we had the privilege to go to a gorgeous wedding. Nailnerd as I am I of course thought long and hard about which polish to wear to this special occasion. I ended up wearing my recently bought Ocean Depths by Gina Tricot because it matched my dress. I haven't really gotten any good pictures of this polish, so I'll introduce it more closely another time.

I like to match or at least have a little thought behind what polish I wear on more special occasions or travels. On our trip to Åre last winter I matched my polish with my skis (not that anyone could see, I was wearing gloves), and I love to mismatch purple nails with red lips when I go out.

How do you reason when it comes to clothes and makeup with your polish? Do they need to work together?

Gina Tricot - Azure Blue.

Här var det rätt och slätt smurfblått. Idag fick jag lov att springa och köpa ett nytt baslack och passade på att göra det på Gina Tricot så jag kunde välja två lack till och få hela paketet för 99 kr. Jag har varit lite sugen på blått så det blev hela två blå lack tillsammans med baslacket.

Det här heter Azure Blue och är ju, som ni ser, absolut smurf. Det här gör inga underverk för min hudton men det är inte oacceptabelt (ni skulle se när jag försöker bära ljusrosa, hallå lortiga fingrar). Jag är ju egentligen inte tokig i blått, blå lack ska vara väldigt speciella för att jag ska falla. Det här gillar jag, det är inte konventionellt vackert men det är roligt och uppseendeväckande.

Formulan är över förväntan med tanke på att Gina Tricot inte har gjort smink speciellt länge. Den är lite trög så man får se till att verkligen måla med penseln över hela nageln, det flyter inte mycket av sig själv. Men den täcker finemang på två lager och får en underbart krämig finish. Tummen upp, Gina!

Here be smurf blue! I had to run out and buy a new base coat today and took the opportunity to buy it at Gina Tricot where I could get two more polishes and only pay 99 sek for the whole lot. I've been feeling all these blue colors lately so I picked two blue polishes together with the base coat.

This is called Azure Blue an as you can see, it's abolutely the Smurfs. It doesn't do any wonders for my skintone but it's not unacceptable (you should see me wearing nude purples, hello dirty fingers). I'm not really crazy about blues, a blue polish has to have something really special for me to fall. I like this polish, it's not straight on beautiful but it is fun and very noticeable.

The formula was better than expected considering that Gina Tricot haven't been creating make up for very long. It's a little slow, you have to make sure to paint the whole nail with the brush, it doesn't float anywhere on it's own. But it covers in two coats and the finish is wonderfully creamy. Thumbs up, Gina!
